Grand Seiko 5646-7040

The Seiko 56GS series was the last series of Grand Seiko, which was mass-produced in a variety of models between 1970 and 1974. The production process of the Seiko 56GS series consisted mainly of automatic watches. In this production, it generally used the 5646 28,800 bph movement, which provided the right balance between accuracy and reliability. Grand Seiko had previously introduced higher-precision models with a movement speed of 36,000 bph, but such a high frequency could come at the expense of reliability. For you, my valued customers, I present one of the rarest models in the Seiko 56GS series, the 5646-7040. This model was produced for only one month in June 1973 and is the only 56GS model with Arabic numerals on the dial. Both the dial and the bezel have textured surfaces that resemble a magnificent work of art. Due to these delicate details, it is very difficult to find this product in good condition. This watch, which has been preserved in excellent condition, offers collectors a truly unique opportunity to acquire an extremely rare and unique example of this special reference.
