Seiko EL-370 3703-8000

The Seiko EL-370 was produced from approximately 1969 to 1972. This was before quartz technology was widely used. This watch demonstrates Seiko’s innovative spirit before the transition to quartz technology. Despite being called “electronic,” the EL-370 actually has a mechanical balance wheel and output system. A battery provides the electrical energy to power this mechanical system. Therefore, these watches can also be classified as “electromechanical.” This model was the forerunner of later electronic watches such as the 3200 and 3300 series and the Elnix series. The item you are viewing is brand new, unused, and was manufactured in 1971.
