Seiko EL-370 3308-8070

The Seiko EL-370 was produced from approximately 1969 to 1972. This was before the widespread use of quartz technology.This watch demonstrates Seiko's innovative spirit before the transition to quartz technology. Although it is called "electronic", the EL-370 actually has a mechanical balance wheel and output system. A battery provides the electrical energy to operate this mechanical system. Therefore, these watches can also be classified as "electromechanical". This model was the forerunner of later electronic watches such as the 3200 and 3300 series and the Elnix series. The item you are viewing has never been used, is in brand new condition and was manufactured in 1972.
