The Seiko Chariot is one of the brand's most elegant interpretations of classic watch design. In this example, the Chariot's already unconventional lines take on a completely different character with its round, layered case, almost reminiscent of a pocket watch.

The thin black Roman numerals used on the white dial, the outer rail-type minute scale, and the extremely simple two-hand arrangement define the watch face. There are no superfluous elements on the dial. Apart from the small Seiko logo and the Suwa mark at the 6 o'clock position, the entire area is left to the design itself.
The case, however, is the real surprise of this watch. The overlapping, softly lined bezels make the classic round form appear much stronger than it is. The contrast between the gold-toned black strap and the white dial also gives the watch a truly period-independent look. Today, when seen on the wrist, you don't need to know the model to understand that this is no ordinary vintage Seiko.
Inside is Seiko's 2220A hand-wound movement. This delicate 24-jewel movement was developed to complement the Chariot's elegant case structure and completes the watch's mechanical character. The watch has been fully serviced by us and is in perfect working order.
What makes this example particularly special is that it has been preserved with its original Seiko box. The navy blue exterior, gold-colored Seiko lettering, and red velvet interior complete the watch's strong 1970s aesthetic. Both the watch itself and its presentation capture the spirit of the era.
