The Seiko 6105-8119 series replaced Seiko’s original professional diver’s watch, the 62MAS, in 1968 and was produced until 1977. The 6105-8110 was the first Seiko diver to feature the asymmetrical case and integrated crown guards that can still be seen on modern Seiko Professional diver’s watches today, making the 6105 an icon. If you’ve owned a vintage Seiko Diver watch before, you’ll know that the build quality and craftsmanship of the Seiko 6105-8110 were exceptional for the time. The Seiko 6105 measures 43mm and comes with a rubber dive strap, and despite being solidly built, the watch doesn’t feel bulky or large on the wrist. The 6105 is powered by the Seiko calibre 6105B, a 17-jewel self-winding movement that can be hacked but doesn’t support manual winding like the variants that would follow in the future. The dial of the 6105 is simple and plain. The large applied indices are filled with lume, flanked by a white, visible minute track that pairs perfectly with a handset that allows you to easily read the time at a glance, even in low light conditions, adding to its tool-like feel and feel. The Seiko 6105 is famous for being seen wearing one of these throughout the 1979 Francis Coppola film Apocalypse Now, where Martin Sheen’s character, Captain Willard, can be seen wearing one. Sticking to the details, the Seiko 6105 was a watch commonly seen on the wrists of soldiers during the Vietnam War, as it was sold in military PXs, and while it wasn’t the cheapest watch, it was certainly cheaper than a Rolex Submariner, and had the same tool-like quality and reliability of an automatic movement. The model you are reviewing has some of the lines on the inner bezel faded. There are no other flaws, and the rest of the details are in excellent condition. The item you are reviewing was manufactured in 1973.

PROFESSIONAL FULL SERVICE. Since the mechanism is completely disassembled, each part is cleaned, oiled and its accuracy is adjusted, your watch will work without any negative surprises. (It does not require maintenance for 3 years unless exposed to adverse conditions.)
Product Status: Tested, all functions work.
