The serial number 324672 on the case back dates the watch's production to February 2013. This date is further confirmed by the Calibre 7S26C movement visible through the transparent case back; the "C" revision represents the final generation of the 7S26 caliber, used by Seiko from 2011 onwards.
The defining character of the cobalt blue dial stems from the gray and yellow-orange graphic sector positioned between the 12 and 3 o'clock markers. Resembling a tachometer, this section combined with a colorful second hand, a broad arrow-shaped hour hand, and indices of varying thicknesses gives the SNK371K1 a unique identity that is unmistakable among other classic Seiko 5 models. Meanwhile, the framed day-date window at the 3 o'clock position remains highly legible despite the busy dial design. The LumiBrite application on the hour hand, minute hand, and indices ensures a strong, balanced glow in the dark.
The stainless steel case, with a diameter of approximately 37 mm and a lug-to-lug measurement of about 43 mm, ensures the watch sits compactly yet prominently on the wrist. Hardlex crystal, a crown recessed at the 4 o'clock position, and a multi-link steel bracelet with a Seiko 5-signed clasp complement the model's classic Seiko 5 architecture.
