Introduced exclusively to the Japanese domestic market (JDM) in the second half of the 1970s, the Seiko 5 Actus series is a refinement of the concept of reliable automatic watches for young professionals. This series combines the “5” tradition—durability, self-winding, a day-date display, water resistance, and a robust case—with a modern urban aesthetic.
The Ref. 6306-5000 distinguishes itself with its characteristically square case. This design, with its sharp lines and brushed surface, is a typical reflection of Seiko’s industrial modernism period of the 1970s. The dial features a microwave texture, a design Seiko applied only to select Actus models during that period.
