While the De Ville name originally represented the more urban and formal side of the Seamaster line in the 1960s, it evolved into an independent collection starting in 1967. The Prestige family was introduced in 1994; slim cases, classic Roman numerals, and clean dials became the series' signature design language. This pair dates back to the early era of the Prestige line.
The men's watch bears the serial number 56,799,740, while the women's watch is numbered 56,817,476. There is a gap of only 17,736 units between the two numbers. While Omega’s serial number chronology for the period places this range around 1998, the fact that the numbers are so close suggests that both watches originated from the same production run.
The men's model is Ref. 196.2532. Housed within its stainless steel case measuring approximately 33 mm in diameter is the Omega Calibre 1532. Based on the ETA 255.111, this ultra-slim quartz movement measures just 1.95 mm in thickness. It features hour, minute, and center-sweep seconds functions, complemented by a date window at the 3 o'clock position.
The women's model Ref. The 595.1471 model features a diameter of approximately 22.5 mm and is powered by the Omega Calibre 1471. This five-jewel quartz movement displays only the hours and minutes; it omits the seconds and date functions.

The ladies' watch is not merely a scaled-down replica of the men's model. The set comes with a presentation box designed for two watches; however, this box is not an Omega original but was selected later to complement the set.
