Citizen Date Flake DAFS 1402-Y is a vintage dress watch released by Citizen in 1964. It uses a mechanism similar to the Citizen Diamond Flake, which was known as the thinnest Japanese watch after its launch in 1962. Although not as thin as the Diamond, the Date Flake remains a very thin watch. Manual winding mechanism: Unlike modern automatic watches, the Date Flake requires manual winding to work. The window located at 3 o'clock on the dial shows the current date. Citizen Date Flake DAFS 1402-Y is powered by the 2710 caliber movement with 22 jewels. The Citizen Date Flake is considered a relatively rare watch compared to other Citizen models. It could be a valuable collector's item for watch enthusiasts looking for a piece of Citizen's watchmaking history. There are a few small marks on the dial of this product that are very difficult to see with the naked eye. (but you have to try hard to see these.)
Professionally restored and FULLY SERVICED (the machine has been completely disassembled, every part cleaned, lubricated and adjusted for accuracy) so your watch will run smoothly with no nasty surprises. (No service required for 5 years.)
