Citizen responded quickly with the caliber 8110 when it introduced the world’s first automatic chronograph in 1969. Designed as a solid competitor to Seiko’s 6138, the 8110 featured a hi-beat mechanism at 28,800 vph, a dual register display, and a true “flyback” chronograph that allowed you to reset the time while it was running. The Cal 8110 allowed you to set the day and date separately, and the day of the week was set with a reset pusher. This unique feature is enough to appreciate Citizen’s mechanical prowess. Measuring 38 mm, this model is the architect of the “Bull’s Head” design, with the crown and pushers positioned at the top. This not only makes the chronograph easier to use, but also gives the watch an unusual look that sets it apart from traditional chronographs. The item you are reviewing is completely original and has never been used before. You will be the first person to use it. This item was produced in 1978.
Because it has been professionally restored and FULLY SERVICED (the movement is completely disassembled, the parts are cleaned, oiled and adjusted to your liking), your watch will work without any surprises. (It will be maintenance free for 3 years unless exposed to direct water or high humidity for a long time.)
Item Condition: Tested, fully functional.
